What can Charo Santos say about these actors?

With her intelligence, talent, and timeless charisma, media executive and actress Charo Santos-Concio is definitely a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment industry.

She has continually proven herself both in front and behind the camera, and since she has handled executive positions in the the largest entertainment and media conglomerate in the Philippines, her opinions about actors and actresses definitely matter.

In an interview with Abante Tonite, Santos-Concio gave some of her impressions and thoughts about the performances of the biggest stars in the past and present times.

She was first asked about Kapamilya comedian Vice Ganda who she said is admirable for his intelligence and wit.

Santos-Concio also gave her opinions about two of the biggest veteran actresses in the Philippine entertainment industry, Nora Aunor and Vilma Santos.

“Magaling na artista, intense, minsan pasaway,” she spoke of Aunor. On the other hand she described Santos as “very passionate, alam niya kung ano ang gusto niya at sasabihin niya kung ano ang gusto niya.”

About Eddie Garcia, Santos-Concio said, “Epitome of humility, acting is truly a craft for him. Wala sa kanyang big and small role. Lahat gagawin niya at laging mahusay.”

She was also asked about the late actors Dolphy and Fernando Poe Jr., to which she said, “Sila ‘yung totoong hindi sinisigaw ang kanilang kinang, they don’t call the attention for themselves, pero sila pa rin ang may pinakamalawak na kinang kasi ‘yung personas nila, larger than life.”

Santos-Concio also made some revelations about actor Christopher de Leon.

“Crush ko rin ‘yan. Siya ang Piolo Pascual noon. Siyempre, proud na proud ako kasi isa ako sa mga naging leading ladies. Lahat ng mga titas of Manila noon, siya ang crush.”

Lastly, she talked about Piolo Pascual.

“Hay! Tinatanong pa ba iyan? Gwapo talaga. ‘Yung mata niya, ‘pag tumingin sa iyo, parang ikaw na ang pinakamagandang nilalang sa buong mundo.”
