The first grand champion of It’s Showtime’s ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan’ was arrested on Sunday, June 16, for allegedly raping a 19-year old singer in Cebu.
In her statement to the police, the victim accused Noven Belleza of raping her at the singer’s condominium unit early Saturday morning.
Belleza was arrested after his performance at Pusuan Mo si Vice Ganda sa Cebu concert on Sunday. The victim’s family is seeking justice for what happened.
“Hindi kami papayag na magkaroon pa siya ng ibang biktima kaya itutuloy namin ang aming reklamo sa korte para makakuha kami ng hustisya sa ginawa niya sa aming anak,” Sun Star Cebu quoted the victim’s father as saying.
After his arrest, Belleza complained of chest pains and is currently under hospital arrest, Mabolo Police Station chief Jacinto Mandal said.
