Facebook, one of the main social media giants used by netizens to connect to their friends and family, has been experiencing issues for the past hours.
Netizens have reported issues including being unable to send messages, errors in uploading images, videos and other media, as well as long loading times leading to further errors.
WhatsApp and Instagram, both of which are owned by Facebook, are experiencing similar errors as of posting time.
#FacebookDown and #InstagramDown came in the top 10 of Philippines trends due to the outage.
Down Detector reported a surge of reports that Facebook has indeed been acting up with users coming from different parts of the globe, including the UAE.
Facebook doesn’t have any official announcement as of yet.
Majority of users suddenly took to Twitter, the only social media giant outside of Facebook’s servers, to air their concerns.
