Agatha Wong has captured the country’s 39th gold in thge Southeast Asian Games by winning taolu taijijian event with a score of 9.65 on Tuesday, December 3.
Wong also delivered the country’s second gold last Sunday, with a score of 9.67. Vietnam captured the silver medal while Brunei placed third.
She also dominated the wushu competition in the 2017 SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
“These tears are for the people who thought that Wushu is ‘just’ a sport. It’s my sport. My body has been broken one too many times and this moment led me to tears. All for God and country. Maraming Salamat.’ Wong said in a tweet.
