The Ateneo Blue Eagles today managed to sweep the UAAP men’s basketball game against the University of Santo Tomas, 86-79 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
This is Ateneo’s third straight win sweeping season 82 with a 14-0 record.
The Blue Eagles managed to win the first two rounds of the basketball finals with game opener 91-77.
Ateneo managed to take on the lead on the first half of the game, 42-32.
The Growling Tigers managed to bounce back ending the third quarter at 62-60.
UST team captain CJ Cansio even lessened the lead with 67-66 halfway through the third quarter.
Ateneo has now three titles in 4 years under coach Tad Baldwin.
