Filipinos who enjoy the intense, adrenaline-filled sensation of basketball on the hard court will soon witness action-packed games as Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League makes its way here in Dubai together with its founder, Senator Manny Pacquiao!

The games, organized by DJMC events here in Dubai will be held this coming September 27 to 28 at the Hamdan Sports Complex with The Filipino Times as the official media partner.

Pacquiao will be playing an exhibition match to spearhead the event along with guest celebrity players with their MPBL teams: Derek Ramsay with Batangas City Tanduay Athletics, Gerald Anderson and Jayjay Helterbrand with Imus Bandera, Bobby Pacquiao, and the runner up of the previous season – the Davao Occidental Tigers.

Senator Manny Pacquiao launched the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League in August 29, 2017. The senator said that the league doesn’t intend to be a competitor to the country’s top professional basketball league- the Philippine Basketball Association. Instead, it highlights talented basketball players from regional, commercial, and barangay-level league teams to have a home locality in addition to a corporate sponsor.

DJMC events, the company that will bring MPBL here in Dubai this coming September, has positioned itself among the top event management companies in the country, with its proven track record of managing concerts, conferences, exhibitions, sporting events, seminars, fashion shows, festivals and more as a full stack event management company that covers everything under one roof.

Tickets to the two-day basketball league will soon be available at www.meraticket.com
