The Department of Health has confirmed that a 13-year-old girl from Quezon City is among the new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease or COVID-19 in the country.
The patient is the youngest confirmed case in the country as of Sunday, March 15.
The findings also raised questions that apart from the elderly and with those pre-existing conditions, the coronavirus can also attack young people.
The patient reportedly started exhibiting symptoms of the disease on March 4.
There are now 29 newly confirmed coronavirus disease cases in the country, bringing the total to 140.
Three new fatalities on the other hand were recorded which brings the total to 11.
