Asian sentenced to 10-year imprisonment for terrorism

The State Security Chamber at the Federal Supreme Court on Monday has upheld the ruling of the Abu Dhabi Federal Court of Appeals to condemn an Asian man for his acts of terrorism after he set a place of worship on fire.
The appeal filed by 34- year-old M.A.A.S. was turned down on Monday.

The court condemned the Asian to a 10-year imprisonment term and will deport him from the country after serving the jail sentence and paying the legal fees, as per a report from WAM.
This first ruling is now irrevocable and final.

The 34-year-old man was accused by the State Security Prosecution of intentionally setting fire to a place of worship with the purpose of terrorism in addition to intentionally destroying a number of lamps and surveillance cameras owned by another worshiping place.
