His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has directed their delegation in Manila, Philippines to reinforce the humanitarian response and provide more support to those affected by the eruption of Taal Volcano.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed spoke on the phone with their ERC delegation while also receiving updates of the ERC’s relief program and humanitarian aid provided to victims, reported Emirates News Agency WAM.
These efforts are backed by the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces to help.
ERC has also worked with the Philippine Red Cross and other authorities on this.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed also instructed the delegation to accelerate the implementation of the relief program and widen the scope of beneficiaries, especially in the most affected areas.
“The UAE will do its best to fulfill the humanitarian needs to the Philippines and support those affected,” His Highness added.
