Jampacked passenger terminals are normal scenes during the holiday season as thousands of people opt to spend their rest days in the provinces.
But what’s astounding is the evident lack of discipline of travellers in throwing their trash, port officials said.
A viral photo of messy Batangas Port Terminal has circulating online, driving home a point on how undisciplined some Filipino can be.
In a photo shared by Greanne Noriega Macatangay, the waiting area was seen full of litter after the passengers have left.
Plastic bottles, cup noodles, packs of biscuits, pizza box, chocolate and paper bags were seen under the seats.
The image posted by Discover Batangas got the netizens’ire.
“Grabe mga balahura. May trash bin ang terminal kahit saang sulok, na-apreciate ko nga dati yun kasi may proper segregation pa sila ng bio, non bio at recycables waste eh. tsssk,” a netizen said.
The photo already gained 13,000 reactions and 2,500 comments.
