Another batch of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) from Kuwait arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on Wednesday.
Around 80 OFWs arrived on board Philippine Airlines (PAL) flight PR 669 while another batch of 100 OFWs arrived in the afternoon through Emirates flight EK 332.
According to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), more than 2,600 OFWs have repatriated to the Philippines after receiving amnesty from the Kuwaiti government.
On February 9, the Philippine government announced the total deployment ban of OFWs to Kuwait following the death of Joanna Demafelis whose body was found inside a freezer of an apartment in the Gulf state.
