Employees leave their high-paying jobs because of these reasons

There are employees filing their resignation despite having a six-figure job most people would dream for. Why is that?

Tech Leavers Study, a study by Kapor Center for Social Impact and Harris poll, concluded that employees voluntarily leave their high-paying tech jobs because of mistreatment and unfairness they felt in their work environment.

The study surveyed 2,006 U.S. adults who left their job in a technology-related industry for the past three years.

Tech Leavers Study found that 37% of respondents said an unfair treatment made them decide to leave their jobs.

There are various types of mistreatment experienced by these employees. For example, one in 10 women reported that they are receiving unsolicited sexual attention from their co-workers. Roughly 25% of people of color said they received stereotyping treatments on their company.

For 38% of respondents, unfairness in the company is a huge factor on why they decided to abandon their job in the tech industry. Meanwhile, 22% of respondents cited being recruited to another company as their reason.
