Oliver Dimakiling, a Filipino international grand master in chess, recently won in the UAE 48th National Day Rapid Chess Tournament 2019 last December 3 in Dubai Chess & Culture Club at Dubai, UAE.
Dimakiling successfully finished a 9-round Swiss System tournament., reported Abante.
With a perfect nine wins in 15 minutes and 5 seconds incremental time control format.
He defeated Ahmed Bendjebbour Faycal representing Algeria in the first round.
More successful feats followed when he dominated his opponents until the ninth round, including Master Khalil Bashaer and Abdulla Murad from the UAE.
In the ninth and final round, he won a victory over Duane Rowe of Jaimaca.
