Freddie Roach wants Manny Pacquiao to knock out his next foe as the boxing champion has not done so since his technical knockout win over Miguel Cotto in 2009.
The American trainer of Pacquiao says the boxer-senator is losing fans, who want to see him beat his opponents with his killer punch.
“The thing is, people like knockouts in boxing and Manny has lost a lot of his crowd because he hasn’t knocked anyone out in such a long time. I think he needs to get back to that, and I would love to see him do that, and this is the perfect fight to do it in,” the Philippine Star quoted Roach as saying.
The last 12 fights of Pacquiao ended in decisions and losses.
Pacquiao is scheduled to defend his world welterweight title against Jeff Horn in Brisbane, Australia on July 1 (July 2, Manila time).
