The DubaiNow application has been updated to include a new feature that enables UAE citizens in Dubai to utilize the housing grants exchange service provided by the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment.
In a tweet on Tuesday, the Dubai Media Office noted that through the app, citizens can now exchange grants, land plots, and residential units with each other, as long as the properties meet the necessary conditions.
“A new update to the DubaiNow application now allows UAE citizens in Dubai to obtain the MBRHE’s housing grants exchange service,” it wrote.
“Through the Emirati platform within the app, citizens can now exchange grants, land plots and residential units among themselves, provided the residential properties intended for exchange are available and meet the service conditions,” it added.

The digital service is part of Dubai’s Digital City Experiences initiative, which aims to establish seamless digital city services through unified platforms, enhancing the emirate’s digital quality of life. The housing grant exchange service has been launched due to the high demand from Dubai citizens following the addition of 16 new services in the app’s second phase, bringing the total number of available services to 170.
Moreover, the service facilitates regulated exchanges of grants, ensuring the preservation of legal rights for all parties involved. The exchange process is managed directly by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment. The implementation of the project involved collaboration among various departments and entities in Dubai, resulting in the establishment of laws, regulations, and a regulatory framework governing eligibility, utilization, and integration among relevant entities.
Meanwhile, the newly launched service includes controls to ensure the fairness and integrity of exchanges, requiring consent from all parties involved and verifying the absence of legal impediments or mortgages that would hinder the exchange process.
