POLO Dubai plans to expand online contract verification portal capacity by 20%

The Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) Dubai will be expanding its online portal capacity by 20%. From its current limit of 500 online submissions, they are expanding the online portal’s capacity to 600.

Last August, they have expanded the portal following the successful trial period which they have ran from July.

The approval rate of POLO Dubai for the month of August is no less than 80%.

The success of its implementation has brought ease to POLO Dubai’s system with screening of requirements happening online before Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs)visit in the POLO Dubai offices in-person.

Through the online system, OFWs save time and resources as they are informed digitally should they have pending requirements to complete. Once documents have been submitted and verified, OFWs will receive an email to inform them when they can visit the consular office to pay and receive a copy of their verified contract.

The move is also in line with the digitization efforts of the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW).

Who can apply using the online portal?

Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) with valid employment visa issued by Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, or Fujairah Immigration, with or without flight can avail of the online submission of requirements.

How can I apply?

An online form will be opened for access to the public on designated dates. They can be accessed in the “Apply Here” tab of the POLO Dubai’s website.

The form will request for the OFWs employment contract copy, passport copy with visa stamp page, Emirates ID copy, and/or ticket copy (if flight is confirmed).

OFW online applicants are advised to make sure that they submit clear and complete documents to avoid rejection.

Once the online application is approved, an email will be sent instructing the OFW to visit the POLO Dubai office in Al Qusais. A representative/the OFW will only need to present the email confirmation and pay for the verified contract.

When should I apply?

POLO Dubai encourages everyone to process their contract for verification in advance for their convenience. Now that they are accepting submission even without confirmed flights, everyone with a valid employment contract can start processing their verification.

For those with confirmed flights, they should apply at least a week before. If they have missed the online appointment or happen to not reach the cut-off for the online verification, they can visit the consular office a day before their flights. If the flight falls on a Monday, they advise OFWs to visit the nearest Thursday or Friday before their scheduled flight.

Their office is open every Monday to Thursday : 7:30 am to 3:30pm, Friday : 7:30 am to 12:00 noon.

Where is the POLO Dubai office located?

The POLO Dubai office is located at Street # 2C, Beirut St., Near Al Qusais Police Station، Al Qusais 3 – Dubai. The nearest metro station in the consular office is Al Qusais metro station.

What can I do if my application gets disapproved?

You can submit the correct requirements and follow the steps provided for contract verification. Common issues why applications are rejected are wrong attached files or expired Emirates ID and employment contracts.
