Senator Grace Poe will be leading the probe on the proliferation of text scams in the country. The hearing was initially set on September 7, Wednesday but later on moved to Thursday, September 8 according to a statement issued by Poe.

“We will have a hearing on Thursday to tackle the proliferation of text scams and more importantly to deliberate on the SIM Registration Act,” Poe said in a message.

Poe said she is eyeing to pass the Sim Card Registration Act by November.

Poe said apart from text scams, some people are doing mirroring or pretending to be people from government.
