A man has been put on trial in Dubai for posting a married woman’s indecent photos on social media.
The Dubai resident has been referred to the court for allegedly stealing her mobile phone and posting her private photos on social media.

He also sent indecent photos to her husband, in retaliation to the married woman seeking to end her romantic relationship with him.
Earlier, he had snatched her phone during their last meeting and threatened to post her videos and nude photos on social media.
The public prosecution held that the accused committed an offence of issuing threats and publishing pornographic material.

Authorities have warned against such practices that increase threats from blackmailers, and residents have been reminded not to publish such sensitive photos or videos.
The accused was trying to pressure her to abandon her husband and marry him instead.
