An overseas Filipino worker in Saudi Arabia is appealing for help after she was arrested by Saudi authorities for alleged theft of her employer’s cellphone.

In a GMA News report, the OFW said that she ran away from her employer’s house because her male employer tried to rape her.

The OFW also denied that she stole a cellphone and said that it was given to her because of her lack of salary.

The OFW also sought the help of the Philippine Overseas Labor Office in Riyadh.

The Saudi police arrested her when she was about to sign her exit visa.

Department of Migrant Workers Secretary Susan Ople said she will look into the OFW’s case.
