Former OFW arrested for ‘sextortion’ 

A former Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) has been  arrested for allegedly threatening his girlfriend that he would post her nude photos online if she would refuse to have sex with him.

Authorities identified the suspect as Jecky Michael Angelo Cailing. He was arrested for allegedly threatening, coercing, and intimidating his former girlfriend.

The Cagayan De Oro City police’s anti-cybercrime group conducted the entrapment operation.

Initial reports stated that the the two met on social media and became lovers for two months.

When the complainant tried to end their relationship, the suspect threatened her in exchange of sexual favors.

The suspect faces charges of  violation of Article 294 of the Revised Penal Code or robbery extortion and Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012. He will also be facing charges of violation of the  Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009.
