Major Noura Sultan Al Shamsi, Head of the Media and Public Relations Department, said that the campaign is aimed to ensure the privacy of people isn’t violated and the footages are primarily meant to solve crimes.
Al Shamsi also said that publishing footage on social media exposes publishers to legal accountability as this can impact work of the police.
