Presidential candidate and Vice President Leni Robredo insists that she is qualified to be the country’s next president in the 2022 elections.
In the first-ever debate organized by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) for 2022 elections, candidates were asked for a closing statement on why Filipinos should vote for them.

9 out of the 10 presidential candidates were present and Bongbong Marcos skipped again the presidential debate.
“Ako po, may eleksyon o wala, bagyo man, kahit anumang sakuna, pandemya, kahit anong problema, nandito po ako. Kahit ano pong kuwento ang ipakalat sa akin, ang totoo, kumpleto po kami ng resibo,” Robredo said.
“Kaya po wag na nating hanapin ang ayaw namang humarap sa atin. Kahit anong oras, nandito po ako, hinaharap kayo, pinapakipaglaban kayo. True leaders show up and man up. Kaya po sa darating na Mayo, the best man for the job is a woman,” she added.

Robredo is the top trending topic on Twitter after her stellar performance during the debates.
The candidates discussed a number of topics including economic recovery, jobs for college graduates, preparedness for another COVID-19 surge, suspension of excise tax, and the four-day workweek.
