Ajman Police have arrested a teenager for stealing precious items from cars in Al Jurf area.
The 16-year-old suspect, who used to target unlocked vehicles, was held after a video showed him stealing a laptop from one of the cars in the night.
Lt. Col. Ahmed Saeed Al Nuaimi, Director of Criminal Investigations Department, said that the security teams initiated the investigation and were able to identify and arrest the juvenile within a few hours.

During interrogation, the boy, hailing from a GCC country, said that he was suffering from difficult family conditions which forced him to steal from the vehicles. He was referred for rehabilitation.
The security team of Ajman Police has also arrested the person who shared videotaped videos from surveillance cameras of the incident on the social networking sites for spreading rumours and panic by claiming that houses were being exposed to burgalaries. The person was handed to the Public Prosecution.
