Six Filipinos arrive in Moldova amid Ukraine-Russia crisis

Six Filipinos have been repatriated from Ukraine to Moldova.

“The evacuees include a fourth-year medical student at the Bukovinian State Medical University, two Filipino nationals married to Ukrainian nationals (one of whom traveled with her two-year old son), and two Filipinos working for an international organization managed to cross the Moldovan border,” the Department of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

Honorary Consul Victor Gaina of the Philippine Honorary Consulate in Chisinau, Moldova said that they are in close coordination with the Philippine Embassy in Budapest and assisted Filipinos in ensuring the safe passage of these Filipinos to Moldova.

Gaina also provided the necessary documentary requirements to secure the e-Visas of the evacuees to enter the country.

“The Philippine Embassy in Budapest and Philippines Consulate in Chisinau will make arrangements to bring the four to Romania where they will take their repatriation flight to Manila,” the DFA added.
