President Rodrigo Duterte stated that he prefers to stay neutral and is planning not to endorse any candidates in the upcoming 2022 elections.
He revealed that some candidates running for the national elections have sent their emissaries to seek his support for the May 9 elections.
“For those really na naniniwala, talaga hong wala akong kinausap. Noong ano pa, wala pang election period, ‘yung national, silang lahat nagpadala ng emissary and I respectfully just declined to say anybody, ‘yung pag-usapan na ‘yung suporta ko para sa kanya,” Duterte said in an interview with Communications Office Secretary Martin Andanar.
