Employees would get up to 4-days off in the month of December on the occasion of UAE’s golden jubilee celebrations.
Across the UAE, employees will receive three days off which will stretch to four days for many to celebrate the UAE’s Golden Jubilee.

The first three days of the month will be paid holidays for both the public and private sectors.
As per the calendar of holidays approved by the government, the public holiday will begin on Wednesday, December 1, to mark the commemoration day to remember those who lost their lives serving the country.
It would be followed by further two days off to celebrate the country’s 50th birthday, on December 2 and December 3. As December 3 is a Friday, many would have been on regular days off that day. Some employees will get a total of four days off including one on December 4, Saturday.

A series of events will mark the Golden Jubilee celebrations across the country.
The next year 2022 will begin with a public holiday on January 1, but many will not receive the benefit as it falls on a Saturday which is a weekend off day. (AW)
