Filipina boxer and Olympics silver medalist Nesthy Petecio said that she will make sure first that all the rewards and pledges to her will be given once she returned home.
Former silver medalist Onyok Velasco previously revealed that not all of the promised prizes to him during the 1996 Atlanta Olympics were not given to him including a 2.5 peso pledge.
Petecio hopes that she will not suffer the same fate as Velasco.
“Sisiguraduhin ko muna ‘yung mga pinangako. Baka magaya po tayo kay Sir Onyok Velasco,” the boxer said.
