Sharjah has announced it will reduce the number of worshippers allowed in some mosques across the Emirate starting this week.
The emirate’s Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Management Team launched a campaign to enhance precautionary measures in mosques located within the industrial, commercial and residential areas.

The measure will be taken into mosques that could not handle large number of attendees.
Sharjah Police has launched the Salamah campaign to improve the enforcement of Covid-related precautionary measures across the emirate and allow worshippers to perform their prayers.
Under the new campaign, workers who will perform Friday prayers will be diverted to large mosques in main areas of the emirate to prevent overcrowding.

Workers from industrial areas were already informed about the initiative via a text message sent to their employers.
Meanwhile, the authority urged community members and various entities to join hands in ensuring compliance with public health and safety protocols to limit the spread of COVID-19. (RA)
