Veteran journalist and TV host Korina Sanchez made it clear that her husband former Senator Mar Roxas will not run in the 2022 national elections.
“I don’t know but, you know, kapag natatanong ko siya, sabi niya talagang hindi, e,” Korina told Cristy Fermin in an interview.

“Minsan sumagot kami ng isang form, kasi ini-enroll ang mga anak sa online school. So sabi, ‘O, ano ang ilalagay ko rito sa work… occupation? Sabi nya sa akin, Ilagay mo diyan, retired,” Korina added.
Korina said that she is confident that her husband will not venture into politics again after losing in the 2019 senatorial race and in the 2016 presidential elections.
“Wala nang plano ‘yan, kasi kung may plano, dapat ngayon pa lang meron na, di ba?. Kasi it’s just around the corner, it’s less than one year to go? Oktubre, magpa-file na. Parang wala na talaga,” she added.

Korina adds that there are many ways to help the public and not only through politics.
“Kung talagang gusto mong tumulong-isang tao man ‘yan o isandaang tao- magagawa’t magagawa mo pa rin,” she said. (TDT)
