The Department of Health reported that the government has vaccinated 2% of its overall population against COVID-19.
“This will take a long time because we know that as of now, we have only fully vaccinated around 2% of our population. That’s far from our target before the end of the year on vaccinating 50% to 70% of the population,” Health Undersecretary Leopoldo Vega said in an interview.
Vega said that the country should have been vaccinating 500,000 people daily.
