A total of 2 million doses of AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine will arrive in the Philippines this weekend, according to the country’s vaccine chief negotiator.
Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. said the over 2million doses of the European brand will come from the COVAX facility of World Health Organization.

The AstraZeneca vaccine is expected at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 today at 1 pm.
The Philippines began its COVID-19 vaccine rollout in March using vaccines from Sinovac and AstraZeneca.
