UAE authorities have rounded up a gang of 59 drug traffickers and dealers found in possession of 72kg of drugs including heroin, weed, crystal meth and other pills.
A video post from the Ministry of Interior (MoI) outlines how authorities tracked down all 59 suspects and froze 39 bank accounts seizing a total sum of AED 800,000 that the gang used for both drug trafficking and money laundering activities.

“(The) gang members were arrested and the source of their illicit funds dried up,” read the statement from MoI.
Of the 59 arrested gang members, 33 suspects have been accused of selling and displaying drugs across “different public places and sending locations to drug dealers inside the producing countries”.

Meanwhile, the other 26 were accused as those responsible for collecting funds deposited by drug addicts.
