Teachers in Pasig will soon get access to free laptops before the academic year begins in the Philippines this October 5.
Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto showed hundreds of laptops shipped to the city and are being prepared before they are turned over to the teachers.
“(On September 28) 3pm, we will have an orientation for principals and teachers in charge of tablet & laptop distribution/use. After this, I will give the public a detailed report on the billion-peso procurement process,” explained Sotto on his official Facebook account.

Sotto stated that the local government unit will do the official turnover to the Department of Education this September 30.
Netizens praised Sotto’s efforts on managing to provide laptops for public school teachers to help them conduct online learning classes during the period of the pandemic.
