Pasig City Mayor Vico is trending once again following his initiative to implement a centralized quarantine facility for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) patients.

From a safe distance, of course.

“We are working double time to pull out more people from the communities so we can care for them here. For the next week, our target is to put 200 more mild cases in #CentralizedQuarantine,” he wrote in the post.

He added that the facilities are ready to accommodate these patients, which will in turn alleviate the further spread of the disease.

He also gave credit to the healthcare workers and frontliners who pitched the idea.

“A big THANK YOU sa mga healthcare staff natin na nagpapatakbo ng pasilidad na to. Too many to mention all—sina Doc BJ, Ms. Anna, etc., at kina RA na unang nagbigay sa kin ng ideya para centralized quarantine na ganito,” he wrote in the comments section of his Facebook post.

Various netizens and Pasig residents have commended the mayor’s initiative.
