The UAE has announced that this year’s Hijri New Year Holidays will take place this coming August 23, Sunday, among federal entities.
The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) stated that all government entities will return to work the following day, August 24, Monday.
“It has been decided that the Hijri New Year holiday for the year 1442 in the Federal Government of the United Arab Emirates will be on Sunday, 23rd of August 2020, and regular working hours will resume on Monday, 24th of August 2020,” as per the tweet from the FAHR.
