The Philippine Embassy in Bahrain held a Children’s Day and Medical Mission as part of its commitment to better serve the Filipino youth based in the Kingdom.
The Embassy, in cooperation with Tau Gamma Sigma – Triskelion International Kingdom of Bahrain Council (TIKOB), has coordinated with volunteer dentists and medical practitioners from Fadel Al Alawi Clinic and Caregivers from PHL-Bahrain Caregivers Society to provide free medical mission for the Overseas Filipino Workers and their children.

The children, who are beneficiaries of the Embassy’s Oplan Kabataan Program, got free medical services including dental check-up, blood tests, and vital signs assessment.
In addition, production numbers and performances were held during the event to entertain the kids. Some of these include a production of Severino Reyes’ “Alamat ng Lamok,” story-telling sessions featuring Dr. Jose Rizal’s “Ang Pagong at ang Matsing” by members of the Philippine Teachers Association Bahrain (PTAB), and Early Sol A. Gadong’s “Ayoko Po Sana”, read by Philippine Ambassador to Bahrain Alfonso A. Ver.
Other activities included face painting for the kids and origami making, as well as zumba workout sessions for the adult participants.
