Bahraini police arrested a doctor and other men on charges of selling pain killers, tranquilizers and other drugs.
The ring included a security man and other Bahrainis and that they were obtaining large quantities of those drugs through prescriptions forged by the doctor.
Newspapers said police found several types of drugs at the defendants’ homes, adding that they were also found to have large funds in bank accounts as a result of trading in those drugs.
“It is a criminal gang that is headed by a doctor who forged a large number of prescriptions to be used in obtaining various types of drugs and selling them,” prosecutor Ahmed Al Ramadan said.
