A Filipina mom found renewed hope in Dubai after joining and winning AED77,000, equivalent to Php 1,051,019.60* at the weekly Emirates Draw!
Speaking to The Filipino Times, Ruby Apao shared that she had faced several trials in her life weeks prior to her big win.
“Nawalan po ako ng trabaho 3 weeks na at syempre inaalagaan ko pa yung eldest kong anak na may epilepsy. Pero hindi ako nawala ng pagasa dahil mula nang magsimula ang Emirates Draw, linggo linggo akong sumasali,” said Apao.
Apao revealed that her winning number “0278447” was special for her since it was chosen by her eldest as well. She shared that she now plans to use the money to buy her family a home in the Philippines.
“Yung numerong ito ay maswerte para sa aming pamilya dahil ang anak ko mismong aking inaalagaan ay ang pumili nito. Plano ko pong bumili ng maliit na lupa at patayuan ito ng bahay para sa aking mga anak,” said Apao.
Apao, who has been working in Dubai as an office administrator for over eight years, thanks Emirates Draw for giving her family hope that they too could rise above life’s challenges with a stroke of luck in their favor.
