Filipinos and UAE residents will enjoy a wide range of flavors coming from different parts of the globe as LuLu, the region’s largest hypermarket chain, begins its annual ‘World Food’ festival that stretches from February 19 to March 7, 2020.
From country-specific cuisines like Pagkaing Pinoy, Akel Arabi, and Desi Dhaba to specific food treats including World Street Food, Sweet Treats, BBQ Festival, and more, the choices are endless for shoppers and food lovers as they enjoy LuLu’s food extravaganza spanning 25 countries, with over 300 cooking competitions and 20 live performances from celebrity chefs and personalities coming from all over the world.
“We have been organising our food festival for more than 15 years now, but this is our biggest celebration yet. This year, we have received extensive support from different embassies, trade promotion councils, various community organisations, hotel and tourism sector, celebrity chefs, and social media influencers. Our aim is to offer something unique and a more experiential and engaging shopping experience for our diverse shoppers,” shares LuLu Group Director Salim M.A.

Pagkaing Pinoy. The Philippines’ finest chefs based in the UAE go head to head to determine the ultimate Pinoy Master Kusinero for Filipino cuisine, along with featuring the flavors of the country.
