For the first time in the UAE, an award for the excellence in service for the nurses working in the UAE has been organized – the Joyalukkas Angel Awards. The first-of-its-kind recognition grabbed huge public attention and got thousands of entries from all across UAE within the first 10 days of its campaign.
‘We are totally excited to see the kind of response from general public sharing emotional stories about nurses who solaced them when in need. The website has been loaded with entries’, said Juby Kuruvilla, Managing Director, Equity Plus Advertising in Dubai, the creator of the award.
Nursing is one of the professions which require caring, dedicated, passionate and painstaking qualities. With lots of responsibility for the continuous care for sick, disabled and dying patients, Nurses are also responsible for encouraging the wellness and good health of individuals, their families and communities.
Nursing is one of the fields that is considered as the backbone of every hospital as it plays the role of a moderator between doctor and patients. Nurses provide comfort, care and compassion even without a prescription.
‘We are in the process of shortlisting the best entries from all the entries we received so far, some are really heart-warming and with great respect to the kind of work nurses do, we want those deserving people to be recognized,’ said Mithun Ramesh, Programming Director of Hit FM 96.7.

The final ten winners will get an exquisite jewellery piece from Joyalukkas. Two win the title out of the ten finalists.
Those who nominate title winners will also get rewarded by Nikai Electronics and Home appliances with a full set of Kitchen appliances.
Angel award Title winners will also get 1 Lakh worth currency of their respective countries by Wall Street Exchange.

The Angel Awards will be held at the TAJ, DUBAI on the 2nd August, 2019.
