OFW who lost her mind reunites with family

Even people who are seen wandering on the streets have their own story to share.

This includes 38-year-old Eva Alpon.

For some, she’s just a crazy person seen wandering outside the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

However, to some NAIA workers, she was someone who needed help and rescue.

It was then that janitress Marilou Magallanes, who showed her patience and kindness, eventually helped her to find Alpon’s family.

Alpon is actually an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) who used to work in Saudi Arabia as a domestic helper. But she was sent home when she lost her mind.

However, her family wasn’t informed of this.

In an interview with husband Roldan Alpon on one episode of Raffy Tulfo in Action aired on June 27, he said Eva once mentioned to her that her employer allegedly wanted to kill her and they couldn’t agree on some things.

The chat was still in his inbox, according to the husband.

The Philippine government through the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Silvestre Bello III promised to look into this case.

He said the agency and the employer may be liable for failure to facilitate the condition of Eva.

Meanwhile, Roldan thanked Marilou for contacting them and for helping his wife.

Roldan vows to seek justice for what happened to Eva, who only went abroad to provide for her family in Negros Oriental.
