Resolve your complaints with Dubai Consumer App in 5 minutes!

When Filipinos buy any new items, they take several considerations into account including budget, durability, and most especially, warranty. Out of these factors, Filipinos put great value on warranty so that they have a safety measure if ever they would encounter problems with items they have recently purchased.

To further bolster the rights of not only Filipinos, but all citizens of the UAE when it comes to warranty and customer protection claims, the Dubai Economy has recently launched the Dubai Consumer App, aimed at enhancing the experience of customers to make sure that all of their comments, complaints and suggestions will be on record and more importantly, their issues will be resolved.

The Dubai Consumer Application was launched by the Dubai Consumer Protection not only to protect the rights of consumers, but to also serve as a bridge between the consumers and the businesses.


How does it work?

The app is free to download on both iOS and Android platforms. Upon downloading the app, consumers have two options: Self Services of File a Complaint.
Self Services offers smart protection that promises to ‘solve consumer problems within 5 minutes’ – the app’s smart AI tech will be able to respond to any queries that the consumer will ask about.
The app also allows the user to track their complaint record against the business that they reported and provides ‘empowerment letters’ that the consumer can then present to the establishment who declined their warranty claim.

“The Dubai Consumer App is allows the consumer to raise a complaint in only 5 minutes. Now the traditional way of raising a complaint, usually a consumer would have to call us on a call center (600 545 555) or communicate with us through email ([email protected]) or social media channels,” said the Dubai Consumer Protection team in an announcement.

Quick turnaround time

Prior to the launch of this app, it took quite a while to course a consumer complaint, but with the innovative systems introduced with the app, it has drastically reduced the processing time.
“Usually the complaint will take around 4 working days. But with this application, (it will be done within) 24 hours, anywhere in the world, any time they face any problems. They can just open the application through their phone, raise a complaint through the smart service, and get the solution in just 5 minutes,

“At the same time, the app will empower them by giving them the important information that they need to solve their complaints. To have a smart government and to provide the best service to our consumers and to make sure that they are happy with the service that comes in a good quality and only 5 minutes – these are the main reasons why we have launched the system,” adds the Dubai Consumer Protection team in an announcement.

Putting Dubai’s Smart Government to the Forefront

The Dubai Consumer Protection team aims to delight both consumers, traders, and all citizens of the UAE as they streamline complaints and processes for the app users to spend less time with the complaints, and more time enjoying the items that they have purchased.

“So in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, we launched the Dubai Consumer Application with the latest artificial intelligence (AI) systems. This system allows consumers to have a direct dialogue method to get the details, explain their complaints, and understand their rights and duties through it.

The app allows the consumers to raise a complaint, 24 hours, even if they face the problem at the same time at a shop, they can just raise a complaint and get a solution directly. So it will save a lot of time for consumers. It will empower also the consumers and it will regulate the relationship between the consumers and the traders at the same time,” as per the Dubai Consumer Protection team.

The Dubai Consumer Application is now available free to download on both the iOS App Store as well as the Android Play Store platforms.
