iPhone X users who have experienced screen touch issues recently may be eligible for a free screen display replacement.
In a report from the company’s official website, if the display of your iPhone X or even a part of it doesn’t respond or responds intermittently to touch or if it happens to react even without touch, Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider will replace the screen display for free.
Only iPhone X users are covered by this program. No other units may avail of the free screen display.
iPhone X users are advised to back up all of their data to iTunes or iCloud before doing one of the following to begin the process:
– Head to an Apple Authorized Service Provider;
– Set an appointment at the Apple Retail Store or;
– Contact Apple Support to arrange mail-in service via the Apple Repair Center
Before they have their iPhone X processed for the free screen repair, Apple also advises users to have the phone fixed from any damage, such as a cracked screen, that might make it difficult to complete the repairs. Additional costs might apply on a case-to-case basis.
The program covers iPhone X devices for a period of 3 years following the first retail sale of the unit.
