Sa sobrang kilig ko, isinulat ko pa sa journal ko kung paano kami nag-meet
Sheila Ragos, a Filipina, and Steven Colmer, an Australian, developed a romantic relationship after meeting online.
The young couple met through an online dating website on September 30, 2015.
They started out as friends whose paths have crossed in the cyber world, but little by little, their feelings for each other got deeper as they talked to each other almost every day for a year.
“Madalas kami mag-usap noon sa Facebook Messenger. Sa sobrang kilig ko, isinulat ko pa sa journal ko kung paano kami nag-meet,” Ragos shared.
On September 30, 2016, exactly a year after they met, Colmer confessed his feelings to Ragos.
“Umamin siya sa akin na gusto niya daw ako. Ayun, umamin na din ako sa kanya,” Ragos said.
Ragos shared that they made their relationship official, on October 16, 2016, two weeks after their confession.
To prove his love, Colmer has also visited the Philippines last June 27, 2017 to see Ragos in person for the first time.
“Sobrang nerbyos ko and I didn’t know what to expect; late pa kami ng 15 minutes noon. And finally, when I saw him, I ran to him and we had the tightest hug. Ang nasabi niya lang nun is ‘finally, finally.’
“He stayed in the Philippines for 3 weeks. I introduced him to my family and relatives. We also visited local tourist spots around Albay,” Ragos recalled.
Colmer also said that coming to the Philippines was an eye-opening experience for him.
Almost three years after meeting online, Ragos and Colmer’s relationship is still going strong.
