It is important to assess how grounded in reality your feelings for a person really are. Because in long distance relationship, you are playing with the resource that is impossibly finite, which is your time. Surprisingly, multiple studies comparing long distance relationships to geographically close partners found not that many significant differences between the two.

Living apart should be recognize for what it really is! It needs trust, commitment, good communication, positive mindset and the right and clear intentions and expectations with your partner about the future. Above all, putting God in the center of your relationship is one of the most beneficial things that you can do.
