The Quezon City Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit revealed that hitmaker Keith Martin died of heart attack or acute myocardial infarction.
The 55-year-old singer was found dead in his condominium unit in Quezon City last March 25. Police believed that he died at least seven days before his body was discovered.
Investigators also ruled out foul play in his death. There were no indications that there was a forced entry, said the authorities.
Witnesses said the body was discovered inside the unit lying in bed after a rotting smell came out of his unit
Keith Martin was last seen singing during the wedding of singer Daryl Ong.
Singers like Kyla and Kris Laurence expressed their sympathy over Martin’s death.
“In shock and in disbelief… You will be missed, Keith Martin.. Thank you for the inspiration. You will leave a legacy of great music that is timeless and will always be remembered,” Kyla said in a tweet.
“You will be missed brotha. Your music will live in our hearts forever,” Kris said.
Martin left behind his 26-year-old son from his late wife.
Martin was behind the hit songs ‘Because of You’ and ‘Love of My Life’.
