Actress Claudine Barretto said that even after all these years she still remembers her ex-boyfriend and former love team Rico Yan.
On the eve of the actor’s birthday, Claudine greeted her late partner with an Instagram post and a cake.
“In a few minutes it’ll be your birthday. As you celebrate in heaven, we celebrate you here on Earth,” she said.
“May you know that the people who love you will forever love and celebrate you. I love you,” Claudine concluded.
Last year, Claudine drew flak after sharing a letter supposedly written to her by the late actor.
She deleted the photo on her account after receiving criticisms from netizens.
The letter was allegedly written in 1998 where the two are just starting out as lovers.
While some of Claudine’s friends expressed ‘kilig’ on the letter, majority of netizens doubt the authenticity of Rico’s letter.
Some even claimed that Claudine wrote it herself to get attention.
“Hunny, Just wanted you to know that you are the Best thing that has happened in my life. You Are My Life! While i watch you sleep i cant believe your mine.Thank You For Being my ROCK!and Hunny “YOU ROCK I Love You Very Much. Hunny,” Rico wrote.
“Kita ko lang po na same penmanship nung letter na binigay mo for your mom and it’s different from rico’s. and the paper looks new when it’s been 19yrs since he passed away,” a netizen commented.
“No hate po, i am a big fan of your love team but just wanna ask if he did write this and pinost or cinopy nyo lng. Much love po,” another one said.
