World-renowned fashion designer responded to issues thrown by the glam team of Miss Universe Canada claiming that Cinco sabotaged the gown of Nova Stevens which led to her defeat in the 69th Miss Universe.
MGmode Communications alleged that Cinco’s gown did not arrive on time and none of the gowns sent were fit for Stevens. They further claimed that Cinco’s team had more time for another contestant who wore a custom-made gown.
The Dubai-based designer refuted the allegations of MGmode saying the gowns arrived on time.
“Firstly, the gowns arrived on time Or how could you have sent me photos and videos of her wearing them, showing how the gowns perfectly fitted her, days before each event. You even posted a video of NOVA in her last fitting and she was happy,” Cinco said in a Facebook post.
Cinco also spilled some teas against Nova Stevens’ camp.
“You were forcing me to make Nova’s 26” waistline to be cinched to 23”, which I obviously didn’t heed even if you said that in pageants, comfort doesn’t matter. But PLEASE dont say that her gown was ill-fitting,” Cinco said.

The fashion designer also provided a receipt adding that he collaborated with a world-class photographer and filmmaker for the photoshoot with Stevens while wearing his designs.
“THIRDLY, if it doesn’t add up to you, then I’ll add Miss ROMANIA, Miss MEXICO, and Miss CZECH REPUBLIC who all wore couture gowns from my latest collection in Preliminaries. Sadly, it is NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. Let me just add that they are endlessly thankful,” Cinco furthered.
Cinco said even the newly-crowned Miss Universe Andrea Meza of Mexico sent her gratitude after her coronation even if she was not able to wear his couture.
“A SIMPLE THANK YOU NOTE FROM NOVA, YOU AND YOUR TEAM would have sufficed. But you don’t have the grace and decency to do that. YOU ALL ARE UNGRATEFUL, VILE, and professional USERS,” Cinco said claiming that Team Canada did not pay him a single penny in the last three years.
The fashion designer also gave a piece of advice to Team Canada: “Next time don’t ask me or any FILIPINO designers to dress up your candidates. Ask your Canadian designers to showcase your works on the world stage,” said Cinco.
