WATCH: BTS’ first English song ‘Dynamite’ makes history with over 100 million views in 24 hours

Popular K-pop group BTS recently made history on YouTube with the debut of their first English song ‘Dynamite’ reaching over 100 million views in just one day.
 
In a statement by a YouTube spokesperson, it said that the music video of the song has hit 101.1 million views in the first 24 hours.
 
“We can confirm that BTS (방탄소년단) ‘Dynamite’ Official MV set a new all-time 24hr record, surpassing 100M views with 101.1m views in the first 24 hours,” the statement read.
 
YouTube also said that the music video has set a new record for the “biggest music video Premiere with over 3M peak concurrent [views].”
 
The song, the group’s first-ever all-English singe, comprises electropop and disco vibes—bringing life to 2020 as this year’s summer comes to an end.
 
As of this writing, the music video has reached over 193 million views. ‘Dynamite’ is also expected to become one of their highest-charting singles on international music charts—including the Stateside Billboard Hot 100 singles charts, as per Forbes’ report.
 
BTS said that the single aims to “reenergize” people struggling this year due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
