Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla reiterated that before they do any of their planned reunion projects, they have to make sure ABS-CBN is secured first, and that no threat of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) still looms.
In their joint interview with Jai Ho on Star Magic Love From Home, the real-life couple said that more pressing issues need to be addressed first before they do anything about their projects – such as the virus and the fate of their home network.
Bernardo said she is looking forward to finding the cure for the disease, before looking forward to any project.
“I-look forward po muna natin na magkaroon ng cure,” she said.
Padilla added that they cannot plan anything if their home network is at stake.
“Look forward din siyempre para sa prangkisa ng ABS-CBN. Bago tayo magplano ay paano tayo magpaplano kung wala pa namang ABS-CBN?” he said.
“Maaaring wala kung hindi tayo bibigyan. Eh, di wala, di ba? So, look forward tayo sa mga positivity na mangyayari,” the actor added.

The actress also said that ABS-CBN comes first in their prayers before any projects.
“Sa daming nangyayari ngayon, bago kami, siguro kompanya. Maging okay muna ang status. Kapag nangyari iyon, tara, trabaho na tayo. Ang daming artista na miss na miss na magtrabaho. Ang daming fans at supporters naming lahat na gusto makita ang ABS back on TV,” Bernardo stressed.
The Congress will decide on July 6 on whether or not to grant the network another 25-year legislative franchise.
